- Implement high availability solutions to minimize downtime and maximize data accessibility across all platforms.
- Develop, test, and deploy ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to facilitate seamless data integration.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, recovery procedures, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Write complex SQL queries, PL/SQL scripts, and shell scripts (Bash/Unix shell) for automation and troubleshooting purposes.
- Design scalable database architectures and optimize database design to support current and future business needs.
- Monitor system performance metrics; troubleshoot issues related to database performance tuning and scripting errors.
- Collaborate with development teams on database design, schema modifications, and implementation of new features or enhancements.
Requirements
Do you have experience in System tuning?, * Proven experience with database administration across multiple platforms including MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Linux-based environments.
- Strong knowledge of high availability configurations such as clustering or replication setups.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, and SQL for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
- Hands-on experience with performance tuning techniques to enhance database efficiency.
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as SSIS for data integration projects.
- Solid understanding of database design principles including normalization, indexing strategies, and schema development.
- Ability to perform complex SQL queries and develop PL/SQL scripts for data manipulation and reporting purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to managing databases in a secure environment.
