Job description
Development of system models and architectures to drive next digital power management solutions. Definition and specification of advanced architectural circuits and systems for next products to satisfy product and market requirements. Selection and specification of key product building blocks. Supporting the delivery of architecture from modelling through to functioning silicon. Development and maintenance of detailed system models to match silicon performance Correlation of models with existing and proposed IC databases to facilitate IC design and verification activities. Extensive interaction and collaboration with product definers and IC design. Ability to communicate effectively with team members located in different geographical areas and time zones. Documentation of architectures and results, and maintenance of them as necessary. Interaction with applications engineering for debug, simulation and resolution of customer difficulties. Requirements
PhD, post-graduate or degree qualification in Electronic Engineering or similar. 10+ years' relevant engineering experience. 2+ years of people management experience with a design team. 5-10% travel between Vishay locations, or to customers Candidates should have prior experience in System Architecture ( with patent history and/or publication record) Extensive expertise in control theory and digital signal processing. Experience developing architectures for digitally controlled power management IC's Experience and knowledge of power conversion products and topologies (buck, buck-boost, boost, PMIC, VR...). Candidates are expected to have a high level of expertise in Matlab, Simplis or other system modelling environments. Good understanding of IC design is highly desirable to facilitate architectural trade-offs based on feasibility of implementation, and for the creation of achievable electrical circuit specifications. Excellent interpersonal skills and a co-operative/collaborative manner are required
