Job description

SMK Auto Inc. is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk / Customer Service Coordinator to help with phone calls, scheduling, customer communication, and basic office support.

We are a local auto body shop in Bethlehem, PA that handles collision repair, paint damage, body damage, rust repair, insurance claim work, and customer-pay repairs. We are looking for someone who can help keep the shop organized and make the customer experience smooth from the first phone call through pickup.

This is a great role for someone who is personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable talking with customers on the phone. Auto body or automotive experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls in a friendly and professional manner
  • Schedule customer appointments, estimates, drop-offs, and pickups
  • Maintain a simple shop calendar and help keep jobs organized
  • Greet customers and collect basic information about their vehicle and repair needs
  • Communicate updates to customers about scheduling, parts, repair status, and pickup timing
  • Help coordinate communication between customers, technicians, insurance companies, and vendors
  • Take clear messages and follow up when needed
  • Keep customer information, job notes, and paperwork organized
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, and invoices
  • Help make sure customers feel taken care of and informed

Requirements

Do you have experience in Scanning?, * Friendly, patient, and professional on the phone

  • Organized and good at keeping track of details
  • Comfortable using a phone, calendar, text/email, and basic computer tools
  • Able to communicate clearly with customers
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Calm under pressure when customers are stressed about vehicle damage or insurance issues
  • Automotive, body shop, receptionist, scheduling, or customer service experience is a plus
  • Insurance claim or repair estimate experience is a plus but not required
