Job description

  • Project Coordination: Track deployment milestones, update project schedules, and organize shipping logistics for remote site hardware.
  • Hardware Migration: Assist with replacing legacy Cisco ISR routers and Palo Alto firewalls with Fortigate SD-WAN appliances.
  • Switching Upgrades: Help swap out existing Cisco switches for upgraded Fortiswitches based on provided templates.
  • Connectivity Tracking: Coordinate directly with internet service providers (ISPs) to schedule and monitor the installation of upgraded internet circuits.
  • Deployment Support: Provide remote technical assistance during the rollout of new equipment to field sites.
  • Daily Operations: Help the core network team resolve day-to-day helpdesk tickets and routine troubleshooting tasks.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vendor communication?, We are seeking a motivated Junior Network Technician to support the rollout of new hardware and network upgrades across our remote locations. This entry-level position is ideal for a technician with 1 to 2 years of experience looking to build their career in network implementation and project coordination. You will assist with technical migrations and help track project timelines., * Experience Level: 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in a technical support, desktop support, or junior network role.

  • Project Tracking: Basic experience or strong interest in project coordination, vendor follow-ups, and documentation.
  • Networking Basics: Foundational understanding of telecommunications, Cisco routing/switching, and basic IP addressing.
  • Security & SD-WAN: Exposure to or basic knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls and Fortinet SD-WAN (certifications or lab experience is a plus).
  • Communication Skills: Strong organization and communication skills to coordinate effectively with remote site contacts and ISPs.
  • This role will be required to be on site at our client site in Media, Pennsylvania.
