Job description
TriplePoint MEP runs a consolidated IT function supporting a portfolio of fast-growing, PE-backed MEP contractors-and IFS Cloud is the operational backbone of Polk Mechanical, its flagship brand. We're not looking for someone to keep the lights on. We're looking for an ERP leader who will shape how the business runs-from financial reporting and project billing to field service management and HR. If you want to own a mission-critical platform, drive a multi-year roadmap, and sit at the center of IT and business strategy, this is your role., You'll serve as Polk's IFS subject matter authority-equal parts product owner, solution architect, and internal consultant. Day-to-day, that means:
- Own the full IFS Cloud lifecycle, from annual upgrade planning through go-live, hypercare, and continuous improvement.
- Act as Solution Architect for all IFS initiatives-translating complex business requirements across Finance, HR, Field Service Management (FSM), and Projects into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead 26R1 upgrade planning and execution, maintaining Polk's annual upgrade cadence and keeping the platform current and supportable.
- Manage the IFS product roadmap and backlog end-to-end using JIRA, prioritizing break/fix items, optimization work, and new capability delivery with clear business justification.
- Partner with IFS Professional Services and advisory partners during active engagements-ensuring knowledge transfer stays in-house and root causes are resolved, not patched.
- Drive the Power BI reporting strategy for IFS, including dashboard builds, lobby migration evaluation, and alignment with the broader data and analytics team.
- Govern and expand Boomi iPaaS integrations that connect IFS Cloud to adjacent business systems.
- Technically mentor a Junior Support Analyst, building SOPs, escalation paths, and institutional knowledge that reduce partner dependency over time.
- Participate in SteerCo governance, sprint reviews, and vendor SLA tracking as the recognized IFS authority in the room.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Your first year at Polk has a clear scorecard:
- Finance, Operations, and IT all come to you first-you're the IFS expert in every room.
- The 26R1 upgrade is planned, resourced, and in flight before year-end with no surprises.
- Backlog items inherited from the original implementation are fully resolved and documented.
- Power BI dashboards are live and replacing manual lobby workarounds where approved.
- The Junior Analyst handles T1/T2 tickets independently-because you built the playbooks.
- Advisory retainer spend is declining as Polk's internal IFS capability grows.
- You've established a predictable, audit-ready annual upgrade cycle that the business trusts.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on IFS ERP experience, with demonstrated functional depth in Finance, HR, Field Service Management (FSM), and Projects modules.
- Proven experience with IFS Cloud and a strong working knowledge of the IFS Software Development Lifecycle-including how customizations, configurations, and upgrades interact in a cloud-managed environment.
- Practical experience leading or supporting IFS annual version upgrades and managing the associated change, regression testing, and cutover planning.
- Proficiency with JIRA for ERP backlog and issue management-comfortable building sprints, writing acceptance criteria, and tracking resolution through to close.
- Working experience with Power BI for ERP reporting-building dashboards, connecting to IFS data sources, and collaborating with data teams on pipeline alignment.
- Familiarity with iPaaS integration platforms, Boomi preferred, in the context of connecting IFS to adjacent business systems.
- Strong ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders-you can sit with Finance leadership and a junior developer in the same meeting and add value to both.
- Experience partnering with IFS Professional Services or certified implementation partners on scoped engagements.
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, PE-backed environment where ownership, precision, and delivery velocity matter.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent demonstrated experience will be considered for candidates who bring exceptional IFS depth.
