Job description
As a remote Software QA Engineer you are providing support on quality-engineering insight throughout product lifecycles, creates, and maintains comprehensive test plans, develops test cases, executes testing, and tracks defects during product release cycles., * Member of a team of quality assurance engineers working on QA process, tools, execution, and software delivery.
- Contributes to preparation of detailed software analysis and design artifacts to establish software acceptance
- Contributes to the software product or system to determine test requirements, test strategies and assess
- Applies analysis concepts, techniques, tools, and standards to breakdown assigned projects into testable units with visible acceptance criteria.
- Prepares detailed test plans, test cases, reports, and release notes as
- Performs software installation and system
- Tests and verifies system and database models to ensure quality and
- Participates in continuous refinement and improvement process.
- Implements software testing processes and best
- Submits to and passes enhanced criminal and background checks conducted by individual customers utilizing their requirements to be cleared.
- Completes annual security training and adhere to TECH5 USA's security policies and procedures; notifies IT with any suspicious emails or other activity.
- Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be defined or assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years applicable hands-on experience with software testing methodologies within the technology or software
- Must have experience configuring and testing on Web, Mobile, Windows desktop, Active Directory / Azure Active Directory
- Familiar and comfortable with white box/unit testing and also automated testing using automation tools (Selenium and Playwrite).
- Familiar with bug-tracking systems and bug reports generating
- Understands the application of Agile methods in a development
- Nice to have: experience working in Law & Enforcement environment testing applications like JMS/RMS/Enrollment with very good knowledge of biometric products and components like fingerprint scanner devices, face recognition, etc.
Skills:
- Effective and accurate communication skills (written and verbal) with customers, management, customers, and peers.
- Capacity to understand, interpret and explain technical systems at the appropriate level for the audience.
- Be self-managed, work efficiently and independently in a fully remote organization with team members based in several countries.
- Familiarity with the entire development process, including specification, documentation, and quality assurance.
- Aware of technical environment issues as they impact overall project plans.
- Ability to switch tasks based on business priority.
- Able to bend, kneel, sit for extended periods of time, and lift up to fifty pounds alone, and potentially more with a partner.

The hourly rate is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, local labor market, certifications, etc. TECH5 USA complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
