Job description
The Senior Enterprise Architect provides enterprise-wide architectural leadership for large-scale modernization and transformation initiatives, with deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture, hybrid cloud migrations, infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, API platforms, resiliency, and cost optimization. This role leads to complex, multi-domain efforts impacting multiple programs, departments, and business units, while ensuring alignment between IT systems and organizational business processes., * Apply enterprise architecture principles to guide IT strategy, solution design, and technology governance.
- Lead enterprise-wide modernization and transformation initiatives impacting multiple programs, departments, or business domains.
- Align IT systems with organizational business processes.
- Serve in a lead architectural capacity.
AWS Cloud Architecture & Governance
- Design AWS architectures supporting multi-account AWS Organizations.
- Conduct AWS Well-Architected Reviews and remediation.
- Define cloud standards and reference architecture.
Hybrid Cloud Migration
- Architect and support enterprise hybrid cloud migrations.
- Design solutions across networking, security, compute, storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
Infrastructure as Code
- Design and implement IaC using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Create reusable IaC modules and patterns.
API & Container Platforms
- Design enterprise API Gateway architectures.
- Architect and support Kubernetes / Amazon EKS environments.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Architect hybrid cloud backup and recovery strategies.
- Design and test repeatable recovery processes.
Requirements
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
- Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Certification - Professional
- AWS Certified Security Certification - Professional
Additional Mandatory Qualifications (within the last 10 years)
- Seven (7) years designing reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns
- Five (5) years IaC using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Seven (7) years AWS architecture experience
- Five (5) years enterprise API Gateway architectures.
- Seven (7) years aligning IT systems with business processes
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or four (4) additional years of experience.
