Job description
We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for children, adolescents, and/or adults. Whether you prefer to work remotely, in a hybrid setting, or in person, we offer the flexibility and clinical support to help you build a rewarding practice., to offer both in-person services as well as telehealth. Currently, access to services and all related contact with provider is conducted through remote communication forums such as telehealth apps, telephone calls, email, video conferences, company website, and social media such as company Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube pages. Other access to provider through expanded services such as on-site sessions, conferences, workshops, trainings, and speaking engagements will be added as the company grows and expands it direction of services., As a Psychiatrist at DIY Wellness, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, medication management, and ongoing treatment for individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions. You will collaborate closely with therapists, counselors, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care while supporting each patient's overall wellness., * Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and establish DSM-5 diagnoses.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based psychiatric care.
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications as clinically indicated.
- Provide psychotherapy when appropriate.
- Evaluate patients for safety concerns and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
- Maintain timely and accurate electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and wellness strategies.
- Participate in peer consultation, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.
- Maintain the highest standards of ethical and professional practice., * Full-Time or Part-Time
- Flexible scheduling
- Minimum 20 clinical hours per week for part-time providers
- Typical caseload varies based on appointment type and clinical practice, including psychiatric evaluations and medication management visits. (new evaluations and medication-management follow-ups).
Requirements
Do you have experience in Working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds?, * MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active, unrestricted Maryland medical license
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Experience treating diverse patient populations
- Comfortable providing care via telemedicine and electronic medical records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to evidence-based, compassionate patient care

Compensation is based on experience, credentials, and employment status.
