This role leads the architecture and integration of enterprise applications - with a primary focus on Workday - ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with Moody's operational and strategic goals.
- Own and deliver Workday integration design and development, including EIBs, Core Connectors, and API-based connections to enterprise systems such as identity management, payroll, data platforms, and third-party SaaS applications
- Define and maintain architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and technical workflows using tools like Visio or Lucidchart, ensuring documentation remains current and aligned with enterprise standards
- Collaborate independently with product managers, HR and Finance system owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical, well-designed technical solutions
- Design and oversee cloud-native and hybrid integration solutions on AWS or Azure, applying microservices and API-driven patterns to support system interoperability and modularity
- Establish and uphold coding standards, integration best practices, and architectural guidelines, with a focus on security, data governance, and compliance requirements for sensitive workforce and financial data
- Lead and participate in design reviews, performance assessments, and scalability planning discussions, providing technical guidance to engineering team members
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where applicable, including opportunities to incorporate AI-driven capabilities into the enterprise systems architecture
- Maintain a repository of architecture decisions, runbooks, and design artifacts to support ongoing operations, incident response, and future development efforts
About the Team
The Corporate Systems team, part of the Technology Services Group, supports Moody's core business and technology operations by enabling reliable day-to-day execution, strong coordination, and effective governance across corporate platforms and shared services. The team partners closely with senior leaders, product teams, and key stakeholders across the enterprise to drive operational excellence while advancing innovation, including the adoption and enablement of AI-driven capabilities. By bringing structure, clarity, and rigor to complex environments, Corporate Systems team members contribute to high-impact work that improves how technology is delivered, operated, and evolved across the organization - helping ensure Moody's systems are resilient, forward-looking, and positioned for continued growth.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Stakeholder relationship building?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 6+ years of experience in software development and enterprise systems architecture, with a proven track record of designing scalable, reliable, and secure solutions
- Significant hands-on experience with Workday, including designing and delivering integrations using EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Workday web services (SOAP/REST); strong familiarity with Workday HCM and/or Finance modules, security domains, calculated fields, and data models
- Demonstrated experience integrating Workday with downstream enterprise platforms such as identity management, payroll providers, data warehouses, or SaaS applications; exposure to MuleSoft, SAP CPI/BTP, or equivalent middleware platforms is a plus
- Solid knowledge of AWS and/or Azure, with experience designing cloud-native or hybrid architectures; working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines preferred
- Proficiency designing RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures; ability to produce architecture diagrams, technical workflows, and integration documentation using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent
- Sound understanding of secure coding practices, identity management, encryption, and compliance standards, including data privacy requirements relevant to workforce and financial data
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to independently translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions and guide cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred

This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
