IT Technician

The IT Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting the technology infrastructure that drives daily operations for our ready mix concrete delivery business. This role focuses on hardware installation, fleet technology management, mobile device deployment, and technical support across the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with field-deployed technology and the ability to troubleshoot equipment in both office and mobile environments., Tablet & Mobile Device Management

• Setup, configure, and deploy tablets for dispatch, driver, and field office use
• Install and configure dispatch software, GPS tracking applications, and delivery confirmation systems on mobile devices
• Monitor tablet inventory, manage device lifecycle, and coordinate repairs or replacements
• Troubleshoot mobile device connectivity issues (WiFi, cellular, Bluetooth)
• Train Drivers on Tablet use including mobile ticket and pre trip/post trip applications.

Truck Camera & Safety Systems

• Install, test, and maintain backup cameras, dash cameras, and 360-degree camera systems on delivery trucks
• Manage camera footage storage systems (cloud and on-device), including video retention policies
• Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) safety and recording requirements
• Coordinate with safety team to document and retrieve incident footage when needed
• Train drivers on proper use of camera systems and safety protocols

Fleet Management & Dispatch Technology

• Support fleet management software (GPS tracking, vehicle diagnostics, fuel monitoring, maintenance logs)
• Troubleshoot GPS tracking issues on trucks
• Coordinate with dispatch team on technology issues affecting delivery route optimization and real-time tracking

Ready Mix Industry-Specific Technology

• Support for Concrete Batching Systems
• Manage concrete delivery tracking and ticket documentation systems
• Support for Concrete Quality Control Software

General IT Support & Maintenance

• Provide first-line technical support to office and field staff via phone, email, and in-person
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, printers, and networking equipment at office locations
• Manage hardware inventory and coordinate procurement of IT equipment
• Perform regular equipment maintenance, updates, and security patches
• Document troubleshooting steps and maintain IT knowledge base

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred (A+, Network+, or similar)
• 2+ years of IT support or technical field service experience
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills with computer hardware, mobile devices, and networks
• Experience with camera systems, GPS tracking, or fleet technology
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license; comfortable working in field environments
• Strong communication and customer service skills, * Experience with ready mix concrete or construction industry technology
• Knowledge of fleet management platforms
• Hands-on experience installing and managing industrial cameras or surveillance systems
• Familiarity with Android or iOS device management
• Experience with GPS systems and cellular connectivity troubleshooting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces (inside truck cabs, under hoods)
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
• May require on-call availability for critical system failures
