Job description
The Microsoft System Support Technician will provide prompt technical support for hardware, software and systems issues to our end-users in all locations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphone, desk phones, printers, scanners, copiers and other peripherals., * Assist users via phone, email, in person, and remote support tools
- Install, configure operating systems, applications, hardware, software and system settings following department standards.
- Diagnose root causes of technical issues and implementing long-term solutions to prevent reassurance.
- Participate in IT projects, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives Provides excellent customer service to all levels of employees including customers, peers and on the phone and via email
- Communicates in a professional, positive and timely manner in person, on the phone and via electronic means r
- Responsible for Deskside Support, Software Distribution, Asset and Desktop management.
- Documenting processes both internal IT and external end user processes, lead end user requirements gathering.
- Interact with vendors and other 3rd party contractors to manage projects and secure products and services.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- And other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows Server administration?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Experience with VMWare desired
- Basic WAN, LAN, and WLAN troubleshooting skill strongly desired.
- Proactive approach to dealing with customers and technical issues
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related preferred
- Must demonstrate excellent knowledge Microsoft technologies, Azure, Windows desktop and server operating systems, Office 365, and GPO's
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work equally well in a team environment as well as independently.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
