Job description
The Family Technology Offering (FTO) is a new service line extending enterprise-grade IT support and cybersecurity to high-net-worth family members associated with our investment firm clients. This is a dedicated, white-glove service not routed through standard helpdesk channels. The Family Technology Specialist will serve as the single point of contact for approximately 100 adult family members across multiple states, providing personalized support, proactive security guidance, and technology enablement in a residential context., As the Family Technology Specialist, you will be the dedicated IT resource for a high-net-worth family, providing enterprise-grade technology support in a residential and personal context. This is not a traditional helpdesk role. You will build trusted relationships with family members, serve as their first point of contact for all technology needs within scope, and ensure their digital security and productivity. You will work closely with our client's internal IT liaison and Executech leadership to deliver exceptional service., * Provision and manage Microsoft 365 accounts for all family members, including email, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams access.
- Administer the dedicated family Microsoft 365 tenant, separate from corporate environments.
- With the assistance of other technical members, configure and maintain B2B cross-tenant access to allow secure, scoped access to corporate resources.
- Deploy and support 1Password for all family members, including work and personal credential vaults.
- Train family members on password hygiene, vault organization, and Watchtower monitoring for compromised credentials.
- Manage Microsoft Copilot licensing and support for family members.
Security & Incident Response
- Serve as the primary point of contact for identity compromise events involving family members' credentials.
- Execute scripted remediation steps for credential breaches, including password resets, session revocation, and access reviews.
- Coordinate with the client's IT liaison on access revocation and escalation when needed.
- Maintain incident logging and escalation protocols for all security events.
- Support dark web monitoring alerts (coordinated with MSSP partner) and guide family members through remediation.
- (Phase 2) Deploy and support Sophos MDR endpoint protection on family devices.
- (Phase 2) Administer Jamf MDM for Apple devices, including zero-touch provisioning and lost/stolen device management.
Family Member Support & Communication
- Provide high-touch, white-glove support to family members via phone, email, and video calls.
- Set clear expectations with family members about scope of support (M365 ecosystem, identity, and security while not general consumer tech support).
- Communicate proactively with family members, anticipating needs and providing guidance before issues arise.
- Train family members on M365 tools, Copilot, and security best practices in a patient, non-technical manner.
- Build trusted relationships with family members across multiple generations and varying technical comfort levels.
- Redirect out-of-scope requests professionally while maintaining positive relationships.
Documentation & Process
- Maintain thorough documentation of the family tenant environment, configurations, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain troubleshooting runbooks, standard operating procedures, and family-specific knowledge base articles.
- Track support interactions, incidents, and resolutions for reporting and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with Executech PSM on onboarding new family members and offboarding as needed.
- Promptly and accurately log time and activities for client billing and internal tracking., * Occasional travel may be required for family member onsite support, training sessions, family or Executech team meetings.
- Family members are distributed across multiple states; support is primarily delivered remotely via phone, email, and Teams.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SharePoint?, * 2+ years of IT support or systems administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including user provisioning, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and license management.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity management and access control.
- Familiarity with password management platforms (1Password, Keeper, LastPass, or similar).
- Basic understanding of endpoint security concepts and credential compromise remediation.
- Ability to learn new tools quickly. This role requires supporting 1Password (which may be new to you) and adapting to client-specific tooling., * Exceptional customer service orientation with a professional, patient, and approachable demeanor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Comfort working with high-net-worth individuals and family office environments; discretion and professionalism are essential.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-reliant and self-directed; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with family members across generations.
- Calm under pressure. Able to handle sensitive security incidents with composure.
- Regular, reliable availability during business hours with flexibility for occasional urgent support., * Experience supporting residential or family office IT environments.
- 1Password administration experience (deployment, vault management, Watchtower monitoring).
- Microsoft 365 certifications (MS-102, AZ-104, SC-900) or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with Apple device management (Jamf, Apple Business Manager).
- Experience with Sophos endpoint protection or similar enterprise security platforms.
- Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or multi-client environment.
- Background in wealth management, family office, or high-net-worth client services.

- Paid holidays, This is a full-time position. Typical workdays are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time. Hours may vary occasionally to accommodate family member needs across time zones. Flexibility for occasional urgent identity incidents is expected., * $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
