Job description

Day-to-Day:

  • Serve as the primary BI Architect and Power BI SME across the organization

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise dashboards and reporting solutions

  • Establish and enforce BI standards, governance, and best practices

  • Lead and manage the Center of Excellence (CoE): o Run forums for developers and business users o Provide guidance on best practices and development standards o Answer questions or escalate to SMEs/Microsoft when needed

  • Support a 3,000+ user base, acting as the go-to BI expert

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps standards for Power BI

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data strategy, reporting standards, and solutions

  • Oversee platform administration tasks, including updates, patching, and ticketing workflows

  • Provide mentorship and guidance on do's and don'ts for BI development across teams, Insight Global is seeking a BI Architect for a leading healthcare client. This is a highly visible, hands-on role where the candidate will act as the Power BI subject matter expert while also driving enterprise-level BI architecture and governance. The ideal candidate has grown from a data engineering background into architecture and has strong experience implementing CI/CD and DevOps practices within BI environments. This individual will lead the organization's Center of Excellence, supporting a large community of users by setting standards, running forums, and serving as the go-to resource for all BI-related questions. The role also involves hands-on development of dashboards and reports, as well as ownership of platform administration and governance. This is a critical role, offering the opportunity to shape BI strategy and play a key part in the organization's transition to Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based solutions.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • 8+ years of experience in Power BI, Subject Matter Expertise (SME) o Experience with Tableau or Qlik is a strong plus

  • Hands-on experience building and developing dashboards reports

  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps for BI environments

  • Experience supporting large enterprise end user groups as SME or supporting an IT Center of Excellence

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:

  • Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience
  • Azure ecosystem experience
