Job description

We are seeking an Embedded Cybersecurity Developer with strong embedded programming experience and deep expertise in securing avionics systems. This role focuses on chip level security, cryptographic implementation, and secure data transmission between onboard systems and ground stations.

  • Develop secure embedded avionics software in C/C++ on NuttX, Linux, and RTOS platforms
  • Implement and optimize cryptographic algorithms including AES, SEED, SHA based hashing, ECC/RSA, and custom bit level handlers for secure data processing
  • Design secure communication flows for chip to ground station data transmission, including encryption, authentication, key exchange, and integrity validation
  • Develop secure boot, firmware integrity checks, key storage, and hardware rooted trust mechanisms
  • Perform threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, and risk assessments for embedded avionics systems
  • Secure sensor drivers and communication interfaces (I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet) against spoofing, tampering, and replay attacks
  • Work with microprocessors, microcontrollers, SoCs; FPGA security experience is a plus
  • Ensure compliance with aviation cybersecurity standards (DO 326A, DO 356A, DO 355) and align with DO 178C/DO 254 processes
  • Support SIL/HIL testing with a focus on validating security critical behaviors
  • Produce documentation including security cases, threat reports, encryption design specs, and mitigation plans
  • Use GitHub/GitLab for secure development workflows, CI/CD, and code reviews

  • 5+ years in embedded software development, with 2+ years in embedded cybersecurity
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++, secure coding, and real time embedded systems
  • Hands on experience with AES, SEED, ECC/RSA, HMAC, key management, and bit level cryptographic operations
  • Experience securing MPUs, MCUs, SoCs; FPGA security knowledge is a plus
  • Familiarity with avionics standards: DO 326A/356A/355, DO 178C, DO 254
  • Understanding of communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I²C) and their security implications
  • Experience with DOORS/Polarion, GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD security tooling
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with flight simulation environments and navigation systems
  • Scripting (Python/PowerShell) for automation
