Job description
We are looking for a skilled Starburst Trino Developer with strong experience in building distributed data query and analytics solutions across largescale data platforms. The role involves enabling data virtualization optimizing federated queries and delivering high performance analytics solutions., * Design and develop federated data access solutions using Starburst Trino.
- Build and optimize distributed SQL queries across multiple data sources data lakes warehouses RDBMS.
- Implement data virtualization strategies to enable unified data access without data movement.
- Collaborate with business and data engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Integrate Starburst with data platforms such as Hadoop Hive S3 and cloud data services.
- Optimize query performance resource usage and workload management.
- Implement security access control and data governance policies.
- Support deployment monitoring and troubleshooting of Starburst clusters.
Requirements
- Strong hands on experience with Starburst Trino Presto.
- Proficiency in SQL with strong query optimization skills.
- Experience with distributed data architectures and largescale data processing.
- Understanding of data lakes data warehouses and federated query engines.
- Experience working with cloud platforms AWS Azure Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of data formats like Parquet ORC Avro.
Good to Have:
- Experience with Databricks Spark or big data ecosystems.
- Exposure to Python for data processing or automation.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau Power BI for downstream consumption.
- BFSI domain experience risk finance regulatory reporting.
