Job description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The job of Paraprofessional Computer Lab was established for the purpose/s of improving the quality of services provided to students by assisting the supervising teacher in implementing all aspects of the educational program., Adheres to district policies and departmental, building, and classroom procedures.
Assists in the delivery of academic instruction through the use of computer programs prescribed by the teacher and district.
Assists students with the use of computer hardware and software appropriately through modeling, demonstrating, providing information, physical proximity, verbal encouragement, and reinforcement.
Performs clerical responsibilities such as schedules, recordkeeping, ordering supplies, etc.
Performs minor computer maintenance procedures such as dusting keyboards, monitors, cleaning computer screens, etc.
Performs troubleshooting techniques to maintain computer and network operations.
Runs maintenance programs to keep systems running properly.
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students and provide a safe environment conducive to learning
Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
Requirements
- Educational Level:
Minimum 60 semester/100 quarter hours of eligible college hours OR passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment Test GACE.ES.PEARSON.COM required. If submitting GACE scores, you will also need to provide verification of completion of a HS diploma or GED.
- Certification/License:
Must maintain Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate which include in-service training related to position
