Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust (Tier 4 / High-Risk Background Investigation); U.S. work authorization required Program: Enterprise GIS support for a federal (DHS) geospatial mission, Aarnest is seeking a mid-level Application Developer with hands-on Esri ArcGIS Experience Builder experience to design, build, and maintain web-based geospatial applications supporting a Department of Homeland Security enterprise GIS program. You'll turn mission requirements into intuitive, map-centric web apps used by analysts and decision-makers., * Develop, configure, and customize web applications using ArcGIS Experience Builder (both low-code configuration and custom development via the Developer Edition).
- Build custom widgets, themes, and templates in Experience Builder using React/TypeScript and the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.
- Integrate applications with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal) - consuming web maps, feature services, and REST/geospatial APIs.
- Collaborate with GIS analysts, cartographers, and system architects to translate requirements into functional, responsive applications.
- Troubleshoot, test, and optimize application performance, usability, and security in line with federal standards.
- Support deployment, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of delivered applications.
Requirements
Do you have experience in TypeScript?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 3-5 years of application development experience, including hands-on work with ArcGIS Experience Builder.
- Proficiency with the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript (or ArcGIS API for JavaScript).
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS skills.
- Experience with ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal) - web maps, feature/map services.
- Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust (Tier 4 / BI).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on-site in the DC area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Experience Builder Developer Edition and the Jimu framework.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro, REST APIs, Git, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Prior federal/DHS program experience and an active or recent Public Trust.
- Esri technical certifications.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, Geography, or related field - or equivalent experience., * Able to commute 2 days On Site in DC
