Job description
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join the Digital & IT organization. This role supports the design, implementation, and operation of cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines for modern, cloud-native digital products, with a primary focus on AWS. You will work closely with application engineers, IoT integration engineers, and the central cloud team to ensure that product environments are built and operated in alignment with enterprise cloud standards, security requirements, and AWS best practices. This role emphasizes infrastructure automation, developer enablement, and operational excellence, rather than standalone platform ownership. The Team This role sits within the D&IT Digital Products team, which enables people, projects, and businesses through modern platforms, data, analytics, and digital products. Our teams build and operate software using agile, product-oriented ways of working with a strong focus on quality, security, and reliability.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

4-7 years of experience working with cloud infrastructure and platforms

Strong hands-on experience with AWS

Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform)

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployment workflows

Experience supporting containerized applications

Ability to collaborate effectively with application teams and platform stakeholders

Familiarity with Git-based version control systems Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework

Experience working within an AWS Landing Zone or governed cloud environment

Experience with Amazon ECS and container orchestration concepts

Understanding of multi-tenant, SaaS-like application architectures

Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions

Exposure to AWS IoT services, including IoT SiteWise and/or IoT Greengrass

Familiarity with security best practices for cloud-native applications

AWS certification (Associate or Professional level) is a plus
