Job description
This is a high-trust, multi-functional role for someone who is organized, discreet, and comfortable operating in a cleared government contracting environment. You will work directly alongside the company's owners as their executive assistant, lead our government contracting marketing and proposal support efforts, and transition into the role of Facility Security Officer (FSO) over the course of your first year - with direct mentorship from our current FSO before their planned retirement. This is a unique opportunity to step into a role with long-term ownership and visibility across the entire business., Facility Security Officer (FSO) - Succession & Transition
- Shadow and train under the current FSO during a structured one-year transition period
- Learn and assume responsibility for all FSO duties under NISPOM and applicable federal regulations
- Manage personnel security clearances through DISS upon transition
- Maintain facility security documentation, conduct self-inspections, and serve as the primary DCSA liaison
- Deliver security awareness training and manage visitor control, classified material handling, and incident reporting
Government Contracting Marketing & Proposals
- Develop and maintain company qualifications packages, capability statements, and past performance narratives
- Prepare and format staff resumes tailored to federal solicitation requirements (e.g., SF330, GSA, SAM.gov)
- Write and edit project summaries and technical content for proposals and sources sought responses
- Maintain an organized library of proposal content, boilerplate, and key personnel materials
- Coordinate with technical staff to translate project details into compliant, compelling proposal content
- Monitor federal procurement portals (SAM.gov, GovWin, beta.SAM) for relevant opportunities
Executive Assistant to Ownership
- Serve as the primary point of contact and administrative support for company principals
- Manage calendars, correspondence, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements for the owners
- Prepare internal reports, presentations, and briefing materials as directed
- Handle confidential business matters with a high degree of professionalism and discretion
- Support onboarding, vendor relationships, office operations, and general business administration
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a government contracting environment
- Experience preparing federal marketing materials (qualifications packages, resumes, project descriptions)
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance within 6 months of hire (U.S. citizenship required)
- High degree of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive business and security matters, * Active DoD security clearance (Secret or above)
- Prior FSO experience or FSO certification
- Familiarity with DISS, e-QIP, and DCSA processes
- Experience with SF330 submissions and GSA Schedules
- Executive assistant or senior administrative experience supporting ownership or senior leadership
- Knowledge of SAM.gov, GovWin IQ, or similar procurement platforms

This position requires U.S. citizenship. The selected candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance. A background investigation will be conducted as part of the onboarding process.
