Summary: Currently seeking a Senior Security Systems Programmer / Integration Specialist for a well-established systems integration company that specializes in commercial door hardware, access control, video surveillance, and integrated security solutions.
This is an opportunity to work on high-profile commercial projects where you'll be responsible for programming, commissioning, and supporting integrated electronic security systems from installation through customer turnover.
What You'll Be Doing
- Program, configure, and commission enterprise access control, video surveillance, and integrated security systems.
- Configure system databases, controllers, field devices, schedules, alarms, user permissions, and reporting.
- Integrate cameras, door hardware, readers, intercoms, and other security devices into complete system solutions.
- Perform system startup, testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning.
- Work closely with project managers, field technicians, electricians, and customers throughout project execution.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network communication issues both remotely and onsite.
- Support customer training, service calls, software upgrades, and system expansions.
- Maintain accurate programming documentation, backups, and project records.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience programming commercial electronic security systems.
- Experience with one or more enterprise security platforms such as Genetec, LenelS2, Software House C CURE, Avigilon, Honeywell Pro-Watch, Gallagher, Brivo, Openpath, Kantech, or Milestone.
- Strong understanding of access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems.
- Experience commissioning controllers, card readers, IP cameras, networked devices, and field hardware.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, VLANs, switches, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to customer sites.
Bonus Experience
- Low voltage installation or field service background.
- Experience with automatic doors, gate operators, or commercial door hardware.
- Knowledge of structured cabling, PoE infrastructure, and network architecture.
- Manufacturer certifications from Genetec, LenelS2, Software House, Milestone, Avigilon, Axis, Hanwha, Honeywell, or similar platforms.
