Job description

As a Data Architect you will be responsible for crafting, constructing, and overseeing the data architecture of an organization. This pivotal role focuses on laying a robust groundwork for data management, guaranteeing that data is structured, available, safeguarded, and harmonized with business goals. You will design data warehouses, file systems, and databases, while also outlining protocols for data acquisition and organization.

In This Role, You Will

  • Develop and execute impactful strategic plans to enhance data integration, quality, and delivery in alignment with business initiatives and roadmaps.
  • Architect the structure and arrangement of data systems, encompassing databases, warehouses, and datalakes.
  • Choose and deploy database management systems tailored to organizational requirements, including defining data schemas, optimizing storage, and implementing robust access controls and security measures.
  • Establish and execute the long-term technology strategy and innovation roadmaps across analytics, data engineering, and data platforms.
  • Design and deploy efficient processes for Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) operations from diverse sources into the organization's data systems.
  • Transform high-level business requirements into comprehensive data models, metadata, test data, and data quality standards.
  • Engage with senior business stakeholders to ensure strong alignment and project delivery in line with strategic roadmaps.
  • Streamline existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and identifying cost-saving opportunities while adhering to company policies and standards.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, or a related quantitative field; master's degree preferred.
  • At least ten years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, software engineering, and 3-4 years of experience in data architecture.
  • Expertise in data modeling, ETL development, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, R.
  • Knowledge of data science tools such as SQL, R, SAS, DBT, Knime, Power BI or Excel.
  • Skill in designing and implementing modern data architectures and concepts, including cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), real-time data distribution (Kafka, Dataflow), and modern data warehouse tools (Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Familiarity with entity-relationship modeling, metadata systems, and data quality tools and techniques.
  • Capability for strategic thinking and aligning architectural decisions with business needs and client culture., * Understanding of online acquisition activities and their impact on eCommerce sites.
  • Understanding of content management systems, workflows, and optimizations.
  • Strong knowledge in SEO optimization.
