Job description

As a Power Platform Architect, you will lead enterprise-scale low-code transformation which will be enabling organisations to rapidly deliver applications, automate processes and unlock data-driven insight through the Microsoft ecosystem

The focus of your role will be:

  • Design of enterprise-scale AI Business Solutions comprising Microsoft Power Platform target architectures and roadmaps, using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse and Copilot-enabled capabilities.
  • Define solution, integration and governance architectures that enable secure, scalable low-code transformation as part of wider enterprise change programmes.

As part of your role you will also contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through:

  • Community Leadership - as Capgemini Invent's Power Platform Architect you will provide technical leadership to our established community of functional and technical consultants, guiding and advising on day to day duties and creating the roadmaps for expansion of our Power Platform development capability.
  • Business Development - Leading/contributing to proposals and pre-sales activity, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events,.development of Proof of Concept and demonstrator solutions
  • Internal contribution - Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development - Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

Requirements

You will be a technical expert with a relentless value focus. You will be comfortable handling ambiguity and able to chart routes to achieve clients' most important outcomes. You will be influential, able to communicate complex subjects appropriately to decision makers. You will motivate and direct technical teams, assuring realisation of both technical and business strategies.

To be part of this team, you will have the following experience:

  • Defining the architecture, design and implementation of AI Business Solutions comprising Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Power Pages and Copilot Studio, within enterprise environments.
  • Explaining Power Platform capabilities and how they support business transformation, workflow automation, data insight and low-code application delivery, with the ability to align solution portfolios to business strategy.
  • Assessing, demonstrating and/or implementing AI capabilities relevant to Power Platform, including AI Builder, Copilot Studio and generative AI experiences embedded within business applications and automations.
  • Integrating Power Platform with external systems and cloud services, including Azure services, APIs, event-driven architectures, identity platforms and enterprise data platforms.
  • Defining and adopting governance, security and lifecycle management across environments, including DLP policies, environment strategy, solution packaging, ALM and platform administration.
  • Applying architecture frameworks for system design, integration patterns, security, data modelling and information management
  • Demonstrating business relevance, contributing to customers' business strategies, identifying the best combinations of business and technology solutions to leverage the differentiating benefits of the Microsoft Power Platform and adjacent Microsoft cloud services.
  • Ability to communicate AI value, risks, trade-offs and organisational impacts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships among working teams, senior leadership, Microsoft-aligned partners and alliance stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop our next generation of junior digital architects through formal line management and informal mentoring, coaching and learning development.
  • You must be cleared or eligible to obtain a UK Security Clearance.
  • Certification / competence in the following is desirable, depending on your specialism:
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications such as PL-900, PL-200, PL-400 and PL-600, depending on your specialism and level of responsibility.
  • Power BI, data analytics or automation-related certifications where relevant to your focus area.
  • Architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF), architecture modelling and repository
  • Agile delivery methods
  • Cloud infrastructure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
  • Integration platform certifications and experience with API management, messaging and event-driven integration patterns.
