Job description
- Help build, run and improve the services in our Azure tenant. You will work day to day with the Principal Cloud Engineer, turning platform designs into working, automated infrastructure the wider team can rely on. Interaction with out Cybersecurity engineering function will be required also
- Build and maintain Azure resources across our landing zone, including networking, identity and IaaS/PaaS, following the patterns set by the Principal Cloud Engineer so our 500-site estate stays stable and consistent.
- Use infrastructure-as-code and pipelines to take the manual effort out of everyday changes. You will learn and apply tools like Terraform or Bicep to deploy safely and repeatably, with support from the Principal Cloud Engineer.
- Protecting clinical and patient data is paramount, so you will apply good security practice in everything you build. You will help us move toward a Zero Trust model using Microsoft Entra, Conditional Access, PIM and Azure Policy, and keep systems patched.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Terraform?, * 2-4 years hands-on experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering (AZ-104 or equivalent desirable)
- Working knowledge of core Azure services: compute, storage, networking and identity
- Understanding of core cybersecurity concepts and good security practice
- Some exposure to Microsoft data products is useful, e.g. Fabric, Data Factory, SQL, Purview
- Interest in automation and infrastructure-as-code, e.g. Terraform or Bicep, plus AI tools such as AI Foundry (desirable, not essential)
