Data Analyst

Location: Banbridge (Head Office) Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm | Friday 8am-3pm Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)

The Opportunity

This role sits within a growing Data Analytics function that is becoming increasingly central to business performance and decision-making.

Reporting to the Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in turning data into actionable insight, supporting both operational and strategic objectives. This is a high-visibility position, offering the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean, transform, and prepare data using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and relevant tools
  • Integrate multiple data sources to ensure accurate and consistent reporting
  • Analyse data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and visualisations in Power BI
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Support senior management with data-driven insights to inform decision-making
  • Conduct statistical analysis to support business initiatives
  • Lead knowledge-sharing sessions on reporting tools and outputs
  • Support ad hoc data requests and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to data governance, documentation, and reporting standards

Skills and Experience Required

  • 1-2 years' experience in a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence role
  • Strong Power BI capability, including DAX and data modelling
  • Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables and complex formulas)
  • Experience with Power Automate and workflow automation concepts
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. SharePoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with high attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to present to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Desirable Experience

  • Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or a related field
  • Strong SQL knowledge with hands-on experience in querying and data modelling
  • Experience within construction, engineering, or related technical environments
