Job description
- Triage and resolve security incidents and customer tickets in a live production environment (1st/2nd line support).
- Monitor, analyse, and investigate network traffic and emerging threats, including active DDoS activity.
- Support customer maintenance, upgrades, and technical communications.
- Contribute to incident response and post-incident reviews that sharpen our detection and mitigation playbooks.
- Work within ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Service Requests). Document procedures, grow the SOC knowledge base, and share what you learn with the team.
- Continuously level up your expertise across cybersecurity, networking.
Requirements
- 1-2 years' experience in a SOC, IT support, networking, or similar technical role.
- Strong networking fundamentals - TCP/IP, routing, and packet analysis - with solid troubleshooting instincts.
- The ability to prioritise, stay organised, and communicate clearly under pressure.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment (including nights and weekends).
Nice to have:
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk preferred).
- Working knowledge of DDoS attacks and network security concepts.
- Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (KVM, ESXi).
- Linux and basic scripting or automation skills (Python, Bash). Industry certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CySA+, or CyberOps.
