Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Software Engineer in New York, New York to work as a software developer within the Payments Technology team. Deliver strategic initiatives to enable new payments and funding capabilities using core Java for the serverside, Angular/React for the web and DB2 SQL, SQL Server for the database. Implement a cloud first strategy. Work on the software development life cycle from system definition to deployment. Implement, design, and maintain assigned software components. Participate in software design and code reviews. Telecommuting permitted within commuting distance up to 4 days per week.
Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Requires eight (8) years of experience in the position offered or eight (8) years as a Software Architect, Senior Technology Associate, or a related role

Requires eight (8) years of experience with the following skills:

Core Java application development;

relational databases and SQLs;
-
behavior driven development using frameworks including Cucumber, JBehave and Concordion;

front end development using Angular or React;
-
building event driven applications leveraging MQ or Kafka;
-
cloud software development solutions;
-
developing distributed systems using web services;
-
working within an Agile/Scrum based environment;

financial markets;
-
Angular/React;
-
DB2 SQL; and
-
SQL server.
Benefits & conditions
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $214,000 and $214,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
