Python Developer

HIRING ASAP!!! We are seeking a skilled Python Developer for 12month+ 1099 contract position for a small company client down in Lower Manhattan. Role is hybrid with 2x in office in a great supportive environment with other SWEs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with expertise in Python and experience working with various technologies and frameworks. As a Python Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining applications that enhance our IT infrastructure and support our business objectives., * strong skills in Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy ORM, Pydantic for data validation, and Oracle Database.

• Experience with use of OpenAI Codex and GitHub Copilot to speed up development tasks.

• 2-4 years of strong Python programming language experience is essential; experience with additional languages such as C++, C#, Java, or VBA is a plus.
• Familiarity with web development principles and frameworks including RESTful API design and Agile methodologies.
• Experience working with cloud services like AWS or Azure for application deployment and management.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts including RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) is desirable.
• Understanding of Linux operating systems for application deployment is beneficial.
