Senior IT Manager - Construction Related Systems

We're hiring a Senior IT Manager - Applications & Technology Operations to oversee the business systems that keep our fabrication shops, project teams, and corporate operations running efficiently. This isn't a help desk or infrastructure management role. You'll work directly with executive leadership to drive technology strategy, lead major software implementations, improve business processes, and build the internal IT organization while partnering with an established Managed Service Provider.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll serve as the operational leader for the company's business systems while partnering with vendors, department leaders, and executive management to improve the way technology supports the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading enterprise application strategy and day-to-day operations
• Owning relationships with software vendors, implementation partners, and the Managed Service Provider (MSP)
• Driving major technology initiatives from planning through implementation
• Working closely with Operations, Finance, Estimating, Project Management, Fabrication, and Executive Leadership
• Managing application performance, user adoption, documentation, and continuous improvement
• Developing technology standards, governance, and scalable business processes
• Creating reporting dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level status updates
• Supporting budgeting, technology planning, and long-term IT strategy

Major Projects You'll Lead

This role will immediately step into several high-impact initiatives, including:

• Company-wide Procore implementation
• FollowUp CRM deployment
• Optimization of Tekla PowerFab
• Integration between Procore, Foundation, CRM, and other business systems
• Long-term ERP modernization initiative
• Process automation and systems integration
• Business Intelligence, reporting, and data governance improvements
• Development of the company's internal Business Systems team
• Future AI initiatives focused on practical business applications

Technology Environment

You'll be working with platforms including:

• Procore
• Foundation Accounting
• Tekla PowerFab
• Microsoft 365
• SharePoint
• Power Platform
• FollowUp CRM
• ERP and business application integrations

Infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, and end-user support are handled by a trusted Managed Service Provider, allowing you to focus on business systems, technology leadership, and strategic initiatives rather than day-to-day technical support., This isn't a maintenance role-it's a chance to build something.

You'll partner directly with executive leadership to shape the company's technology roadmap, lead enterprise-wide initiatives, modernize critical business systems, and create scalable processes that support continued growth. You'll have the opportunity to influence how technology is used across fabrication facilities, construction projects, and corporate operations while helping position the business for the future.

Do you have experience in Vendor relationship building?, We're looking for someone who understands both technology and business operations.

Ideal candidates will have:

• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience
• Experience managing enterprise business applications
• Strong project management experience leading large software implementations
• Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
• Excellent vendor management and stakeholder communication skills
• Experience improving business processes through technology
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, cloud platforms, cybersecurity fundamentals, and IT governance
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously

Experience supporting organizations in:

• Structural steel fabrication
• Manufacturing
• Industrial construction
• Commercial construction
• Engineering
• Project-based businesses

Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:

PMP, ITIL, Microsoft, or Procore certifications are a plus.
