Full Stack Engineer - 4+ years exp. (On-site only)

We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Engineer (with more strength on the backend). The ideal candidate will be well-versed in managing and optimizing complex server environments, deploying applications, and ensuring the seamless integration of APIs. Experience with e-commerce, payment processing, and data security will be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Able to be independent (flat structure)
• Can manage multiple competing priorities in a sprint cycle
• Business minded when it comes to engineering problems
• Collaborate with the lead developer to maintain, optimize, and scale server infrastructure.
• Work with Shopify APIs, codebase, HTML, CSS, shopify custom code.
• Manage and deploy applications using Node.js, focusing on server-side logic and architecture.
• Implement and manage database solutions, with a preference for PostgreSQL.
• Handle API integration and data synchronization with external partners (e.g., Plaid).
• Monitor and enhance server performance and reliability, including experience with Heroku and alternative cloud platforms.
• Develop and maintain caching strategies and data handling using Redis.
• Integrate security solutions (e.g., Cloudflare Turnstile) to prevent fraud and enhance platform protection.
• Ensure system reliability through proper logging, structured error handling, and retry logic.
• Assist in developing cron job schedules for periodic tasks and server-side processes.
• Contribute to the automation of workflows, including inventory reporting and order management.
• Support e-commerce payment gateways, including Finix and custom checkout processes.

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * We are looking for individuals with at least 4 years of work experience, excluding internships.

• This is a senior engineer with management experience (your role is an individual contributor, who is expected to provide expertise and best practices to junior devs), Technical Requirements (again, we are open to your experience):
• Proficiency in Node.js and related frameworks.
• Strong experience with Heroku, including managing processes and performance optimization.
• Willingness to learn Shopify e-commerce codebase for front end development.
• Experience with AWS, kubernetes, Supabase, and docker (not a must)
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL for database management.
• Experience with Redis for caching and task scheduling.
• Knowledge of API integration practices.
• Experience with cloud services and deployment best practices.
• Hands-on experience with structured logging and monitoring tools.
• Proficiency with security protocols and anti-fraud measures.
• Knowledge of cron jobs and task automation for backend processes.
• Understanding of financial data flows and payment processing integrations.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with e-commerce platforms, specifically Shopify, and related payment gateways.
• Prior work with ngrok for development environments.
• Experience with React or similar front-end technologies.
• Experience with Plaid / Stripe
• N8N automation, * Shopify: 2 years (Preferred)
