Ensuring Product and Process Compliance:
- Work with cross-functional teams to define documentation requirements for critical items including: torque joints, market compliance items, and serial number logging.
- Support Control Plan Creation.
- Perform routine and special audits to ensure adherence to the requirements.
- Report non-conformities to Senior Leadership and drive resolution on findings.
Technical Expertise
- Represent the Quality Department in Cross-Functional teams with Design, Production, Launch and Engineering for product development and validation.
- Analyze torque results and calculate updates to torque parameters to reach required clamping forces/loads.
- Analyze internal Quality data to recognize trends and react by performing root cause analysis.
- Perform Process Audits to ensure adherence to Control Plan requirements.
- Perform analysis by utilizing equipment in the Vehicle Analysis Center at set frequencies to ensure Conformity of Production.
- Report non-conformities to Senior Leadership and drive resolution on findings.
Corrective action monitoring:
- Support corrective action development for non-conformities.
- Monitor corrective action implementation for effectiveness and react to NOK trends
Standardization:
- Create standard operations for work area.
- Perform continuous improvement activities to improve standards
- Support internal and external teams to develop standards that impact multiple business units.
Training and Support:
- Support initial builds, vehicle launches, and production ramp-ups to ensure quality targets are met in pre-series and series operations
- Lead and provide training and guidance to general assembly staff on quality standards and techniques, including VDA requirements.
- Assist in the development of training materials and programs related to General Assembly Quality.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
- This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
- Travel: Domestic and international travel required. Valid driver's license required. Passport required.
Requirements

Here's what else you'll bring, * Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive, Engineering, or a related technical field required or equivalent work experience of:
- 5+ years of professional experience in automotive production and quality control concepts or a related field, including hands-on experience performing technical analysis and designing screw joint parameters to meet the required load.
Skills:
- Greenfield or Brownfield Automotive facility launch experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive processes, products, and materials, including familiarity with assembly tools, regulatory compliance, equipment, and best practices in the general assembly processes.
- Experience with VDA standards and their application in the automotive industry.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- In depth understanding of DMAIC methodologies and the ability to utilize them
- Excellent writing skills for developing clear and comprehensive quality standards and procedures.
- Data driven and evidence-based mindset.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Quality Management software.
- Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt preferred., + Ability to perform inspections and audits that may require standing, walking, bending, or lifting.
- Environment:
- Work in a general assembly shop or manufacturing environment.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial Base Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
Internal Leveling Code: IC9
