- Monitor network traffic using SIEM tools like Splunk or SolarWinds to detect threats and respond swiftly to incidents.
- Design and implement robust security measures including firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, and encryption protocols (PKI, SSL/TLS).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in LAN/WAN infrastructure, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
- Manage identity & access management systems such as Active Directory and LDAP to enforce RBAC policies.
- Lead incident response efforts, including threat detection & response, incident recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks like ISO 27002, FISMA, PCI DSS, and implement system hardening techniques across servers (Oracle, VMware vSphere) and network devices (Cisco routers/switches).
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS?, * Proven experience in information security roles with a strong understanding of computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), DHCP, DNS, and network protocols.
- Hands-on knowledge of cybersecurity tools including SIEM solutions (Splunk), vulnerability assessment platforms, and threat intelligence feeds.
- Familiarity with cloud architecture (IaaS/PaaS), virtualization technologies (VMware), DevOps practices (CI/CD), and automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Strong background in system administration across multiple operating systems including Windows Server environments, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, openSUSE), and macOS.
- Ability to perform risk analysis based on NIST standards; implement system security plans; manage incident management processes; and conduct vulnerability research.
- Educational background in computer science or related fields is preferred; relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH or CompTIA Security+ are highly advantageous.
