Job description

As a Tableau Developer, you will be the crucial link between business users and technical infrastructure, transforming complex data into actionable, strategic insights. Your work will directly shape how the organization visualizes its performance, optimizes its processes, and maps out its future. By leading Tableau development and server administration, you will ensure that leaders and stakeholders have seamless access to the highly reliable, interactive data they need to drive the business forward., In this role, you will go beyond just building dashboards; you will be an internal consultant and data champion. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Driving Strategic Business Insights: Collaborate with internal users and external vendors to translate high-level business objectives into tactical, data-driven action plans.
  • Building a Single Source of Truth: Utilize advanced SQL and data storage techniques to curate and unify data from multiple, disparate sources into cohesive, reliable data models.
  • Designing Actionable Analytics: Build, publish, and maintain interactive, advanced dashboards that empower end-users to easily digest complex information and make informed decisions.
  • Ensuring High-Availability Infrastructure: Manage and administer the Tableau Server environment (sites, groups, workbooks, database views, and connections). You will consult with internal IT teams to maintain a highly available, stable, and well-designed infrastructure.
  • Championing Process Improvement: Evaluate and map out existing practices by facilitating meetings with key stakeholders, identifying attainable efficiencies, and driving process alignment.
  • Leading Data Governance: Design, maintain, and rigorously enforce Tableau best practices, security, and governance policies to ensure data integrity across the enterprise.
  • Program Leadership: Oversee application initiatives and development requirements, managing the full lifecycle from business needs analysis to delivery.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Stakeholder relationship building?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution. Or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Experience: Four+ (4+) years of related IT experience, including software development, program leadership, and business analysis (or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and training).

Certifications (Plus, but not required)

  • Tableau Certification
  • IIBA Business Analyst (CBAP)

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Tableau reporting, analytics, and dashboard content creation, coupled with strong SQL and relational database skills.
  • Server Administration: Proven ability to maintain, support, and upgrade a Tableau server environment.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Deep knowledge of business needs analysis, process documentation, and the ability to untangle complex data sets.
  • Technical Translation: The ability to explain complex, technical concepts in clear, non-technical terms to staff and stakeholders.
  • Agility & Independence: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing directions, and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English, with a track record of building consensus, influencing stakeholders, and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite to complement your technical toolkit.
