This role is a great fit for an engineer who enjoys backend systems, distributed systems, and cloud services. Responsibilities

  • Build, test, deploy, and operate features for OCI Queue.

  • Contribute to backend services, APIs, automation, and operational tooling.

  • Work with senior engineers to design scalable and reliable distributed systems.

  • Improve service performance, availability, observability, and maintainability.

  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, testing, and operational readiness reviews.

  • Investigate production issues and implement durable fixes.

  • Create and maintain dashboards, alerts, runbooks, and automation for service operations.

Requirements

  • Experience developing cloud-native applications or distributed services.

  • Familiarity with messaging or streaming technologies such as Oracle Queue, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Pulsar, JMS, or similar messaging systems.

  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards).

  • Understanding of DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure as Code concepts.

  • Experience participating in on-call rotations and supporting production systems.

  • Passion for building reliable, scalable cloud infrastructure that delivers an exceptional customer experience.
