Job description
The Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting enterprise core network infrastructure, SD-WAN environments, routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and overall network performance. The ideal candidate brings strong Cisco networking expertise along with experience supporting VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, and enterprise LAN/WAN environments., * Manage and support enterprise core network infrastructure across data center environments.
- Configure, administer, and troubleshoot VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and enterprise networking equipment.
- Administer Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs, and traffic management.
- Support F5 load balancers for application delivery and high availability.
- Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN/WAN connectivity across branch and campus environments.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, bandwidth utilization, latency, and throughput.
- Support enterprise data center networking across core, distribution, and access layers.
- Maintain secure connectivity between enterprise, cloud, and hosted environments.
- Perform network upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, firewall, and load balancing issues.
- Utilize enterprise monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and change management activities using ServiceNow.
- Support high availability, redundancy, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
Requirements
Do you have experience in VPN management?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). High school diploma (or GED) required.
- 3+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
- Strong experience supporting Cisco enterprise networking environments.
- Experience administering VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN.
- Hands-on experience managing Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience supporting F5 load balancers.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise LAN/WAN architecture.
- Experience supporting enterprise data center networking.
- Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols.
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and network security concepts.
- Experience performing network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Experience with ServiceNow for incident, change, and request management.
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills., * Cisco certifications (CCNP Enterprise, CCIE, or equivalent).
- Palo Alto Networks certification (PCNSA or PCNSE).
- VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN experience.
- F5 BIG-IP administration experience.
- Experience supporting highly available enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Experience with cloud networking (Azure and/or AWS).
- Experience with enterprise monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar.
- Experience working within large enterprise consulting or managed services environments.
- Experience supporting government or highly regulated enterprise environments.
Pay: $33.66 - $38.00 per hour
