Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT Administrator to lead the management and optimization of our organization's IT infrastructure. In this vital role, you will oversee system administration, network security, and solution architecture to ensure seamless operations across diverse platforms. Your expertise will drive the implementation of innovative IT solutions, enhance system security, and support our digital transformation initiatives. Join us to empower our technology environment with your proactive approach and technical mastery!, * Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms (such as VMware and ESXi), and cloud services like AWS and Azure.

  • Design, implement, and support system architecture solutions utilizing technologies such as microservices, RESTful APIs, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Oversee system administration tasks across operating systems including Windows, Linux, UNIX, and macOS to ensure stability and security.
  • Develop and maintain scripting solutions using Bash, Shell Scripting, Python, PowerShell, and other languages to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Configure and manage network components such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, and ensure robust computer networking practices.
  • Implement information security measures including firewalls, VPNs, encryption protocols, and access controls to safeguard organizational data.
  • Collaborate with development teams using DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git repositories, and solution architecture principles to streamline software deployment.
  • Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios or SolarWinds; troubleshoot issues promptly; perform system upgrades; plan capacity for future growth.
  • Support database management tasks involving SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle databases; optimize database performance; execute backup/restore procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports in accordance with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows support?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Proven experience in system administration across multiple platforms including Windows Server, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS), UNIX systems.

  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and VMWare vSphere environments.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure for infrastructure deployment and management.
  • Expertise in network security protocols including firewall configuration, VPN setup, DNS management, load balancing techniques.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell for automation purposes.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for microservices deployment.
  • Solid understanding of solution architecture principles within a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) framework.
  • Experience working within Agile environments utilizing DevOps methodologies including CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of databases including Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL scripts; experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB is a plus.
  • Strong grasp of information security best practices to protect organizational assets against cyber threats.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; professional certifications such as CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or VMware Certified Professional are advantageous.
