Job description
AOW Technologies is seeking a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Technical Services Engineer I to join our team. This position provides both on-site and remote IT support to our business clients. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others. While previous professional IT experience is not required, candidates should be familiar with Windows and Mac computers and have some exposure to Microsoft 365. We're looking for someone who is comfortable with computers and technology and is excited to build a career in IT.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service while providing on-site and remote technical support.
- Set up, deploy, and configure desktop and laptop computers.
- Install and configure Windows operating systems and business software.
- Assist users with password resets and multi-factor authentication (MFA) setup.
- Provide support for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace applications and user accounts.
- Set up and troubleshoot VoIP phones and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot printers, monitors, and other computer peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve computer, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Assist in maintaining secure IT environments by implementing security best practices, including multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, and secure user account management.
- Document work performed and update support tickets accurately.
- Escalate advanced technical issues to senior engineers when appropriate.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing AOW Technologies at client locations.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Peripheral hardware support?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Strong computer aptitude with the ability to independently set up and connect computers, monitors, printers, and other common peripherals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Preferred (Not Required)
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical certification.
- Exposure to Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace.
- Experience with VoIP phone systems.
- Associate degree or coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, or other client-facing experience.
