Job description
Under general supervision from peers and management, this position is responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to users as they call the Help Desk for technical assistance, supporting IS analysts in applications and operations, and software management, installation, and inventory. Focus is on improving the effective utilization of information technology and systems through knowledgeable guidance, problem determination, and resolution within Energy Northwest's IT infrastructure and applications. This position has limited knowledge of processes and is in the development role about this scope.
Principal Accountabilities:
(1) Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the identification, assessment, and management of enterprise risks and internal controls. (2) Establish, communicate, and facilitate the use of appropriate risk management methodologies, tools, and techniques across the organization. (3) Collect, evaluate, and maintain data related to risk assessments, controls, and mitigation activities. (4) Work with Energy Northwest (EN) business units to establish, maintain and continuously improve risk management capabilities, develop risk registers, and compile data. (5) Conduct risk assessments, audits, and control evaluations as scheduled or requested, and prepare and present comprehensive reports on findings. (6) Perform follow-up activities to ensure timely and effective resolution of audit findings and risk mitigation actions. (7) Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and awareness programs to promote a strong risk culture. (8) Coordinate and communicate with the Executive Board Auditor and designated Executive Board contacts on risk and audit matters. (9) Maintain audit and risk documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory retention requirements. (10) Provide oversight and guidance to matrixed team members, contractors, or temporary staff supporting risk or audit-related activities. (11) Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the risk management program and recommend enhancements as needed. (12) Ensure continuous improvement of risk practices and alignment with industry standards, regulatory expectations, and best practices. (13) Conduct special studies, projects, or initiatives as assigned, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes. Perform special assignments using knowledge gained through experience and education. Conduct benchmarking studies for business-related issues. Must support the biennial refueling outage.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Task prioritization?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Basic project management techniques. Basic core values as related to human performance and cost-effective work execution. Basic use of computer software tools. Ability to exercise sound judgment, weighing alternative courses of action and making decisions that are based on factual information and rational assumptions, considering organizational resources. Demonstrated ability in planning and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must establish goals, set priorities, and maintain an awareness of interrelationships among activities. Possess strong project management skills and abilities, including leading projects and initiatives. Ability to develop cost-benefit analysis in support of project options. Ability to apply applicable technical specifications, code requirements, and standards.
Required Education and Experience: Requires a high school diploma/GED and five years of administrative support or technical support experience.
