Job description
As a Linux Administrator, your talents will help us bring logistics, manufacturing, and engineering into a seamless ecosystem. You will work directly on installing, configuring, and maintaining a secure network capable of running and supporting the tools, and more importantly, people involved in this mission., * Installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Linux servers and systems
- Developing custom Linux images for deployment
- Participating in planning and executing upgrades and patches for operating systems and software
- Delivering and maintaining IT infrastructure and services aligned to industry and Boeing enterprise best practices
- Responding to system events, user requests, and incidents logged in management systems
- Performing vulnerability assessment and remediation
- Performing systems administration using RHEL and Oracle Linux
- Providing comprehensive and timely communications to key stakeholders
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining multi-platform systems hardware, software, and components using pre-existing or self-created automated processes
- Troubleshooting and restoring routine to complex computing service operations (backups/restores, networking, and domain-related functions)
- Building and maintaining information systems that comply with Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide / Risk Management Framework (JSIG / RMF) security requirements
- Integrating and configuring security solutions (Trellix, Splunk, HBSS) into information systems
- Integrating security solutions into information systems (duplicate entry - consider removing or consolidating)
- Developing training guides, knowledge management articles, and documentation of processes and procedures
- Providing comprehensive software and integration support in closed environments
- Automating tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or other platforms
- Evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolutions to team members and key stakeholders
- Using scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems or applications, or other similar technologies
Requirements
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements) or ability to obtain certification within first 6 months
- 5+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for RHEL 6 or higher
- 5+ years of experience with utilizing security relevant tools, systems, and applications in support of Risk Management Framework (RMF) to include: NESSUS, ACAS, DISA STIGs, SCAP, Audit Reduction, and HBSS
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing secure Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) solutions
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 10+ years creating and maintaining custom windows or Linux images (isos/VM templates)
- 10+ years of experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies
- 5+ years of experience using Trellix ePO configuration and management
- 5+ years of experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies
- Management and configuration of Splunk Indexers/Forwarders
- Experience with developing PowerShell and Linux scripts for hardware integration, automating OS deployment and configuration, and creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers
- Experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, Docker/Containerization and Nessus
- Understanding of networking fundamentals
- Backup and Restore technologies

Summary pay range: $119,850 - $162,150
