Job Description: Under the direction of the Assistant Chief Information Officer, the Technology Manager leads and oversees assigned technology programs, services, projects, and staff. This role provides strategic and technical leadership assigned technology functions and enterprise systems; develops and implements policies, standards, and procedures; manages budgets and contracts, and vendor relationships; and collaborates with City departments, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure reliable, well-governed technology services aligned with Citywide goals., In the City of Glendale, all positions are responsible for excellent performance in the following areas: Skills and Abilities Customer Service Provide exceptional customer service to all employees, customers, vendors and other City departments. Ethics Model and practice the highest standards of ethical conduct. Performance Develop necessary skills from on-the-job training and meet standards of performance for the classification by the end of the probationary period. Work the necessary hours and times, including overtime as authorized for non-management staff, to complete goals, tasks, and objectives. Cyber Security Actively participate in maintaining a secure computing environment by adhering to and implementing City cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices. Requirements

An equivalent combination of experience and education sufficient to perform the essential job functions and provide the required knowledge and abilities may be qualifying.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in information technology, computer science, management information systems, public administration, or a closely related field.
Experience: Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible professional and management experience in information technology, including responsibility for planning, implementing, supporting, and managing enterprise technology systems, services, or projects. At least three (3) years of the required work experience must include supervisory or management responsibilities in project coordination, vendor management, or program oversight., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Benefits & conditions
Work is primarily performed indoors in an office setting. Work is primarily performed Monday to Friday during regular office hours. Evening work may be required. Weekend or holiday work may be required. Emergency response may be required 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, including nights, weekends and holidays.
