Job description
Serve as a Senior Engineer - Execution Systems in a hybrid work environment, designing, implementing, and optimizing AVEVA PI Historian solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture manufacturing and supply chain data, improve operational visibility, and enable data-driven decisions that enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
Responsibilities

Design robust AVEVA PI Historian architectures to ensure reliable collection, storage, and retrieval of high-volume operational data from manufacturing systems.

Configure data interfaces and connectors to integrate plant floor equipment, enterprise applications, and supply chain systems for seamless data flow.

Develop and maintain data models, tags, calculations, and asset frameworks to support monitoring, reporting, and analytics.

Optimize data collection strategies by tuning sampling rates, compression, and exception settings to balance performance and accuracy.

Implement data validation, cleansing, and enrichment processes to improve data quality for downstream applications.

Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain stakeholders to translate business requirements into PI configurations, dashboards, and alerts.

Build visualizations and reports using AVEVA PI tools or connected analytics platforms for performance tracking and decision support.

Work with IT and OT teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant deployment of PI Historian in hybrid environments.

Document solution design, standards, and operational procedures for consistent deployment across sites.

Troubleshoot data flow issues, performance bottlenecks, and system defects, and implement long-term fixes.

Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in historian configuration and data governance.

Drive continuous improvement by analyzing historian data to identify inefficiencies, risks, and optimization opportunities.

Support business goals by enabling data-driven decisions that improve safety, product quality, and environmental performance.
Requirements

8-12 years of experience in designing and supporting AVEVA PI Historian solutions in industrial or manufacturing environments.

Strong knowledge of time-series data concepts including tags, event frames, and asset hierarchies.

Experience working with manufacturing execution systems, plant automation, or industrial data acquisition.

Understanding of supply chain processes such as production planning, inventory tracking, and logistics.

Hands-on experience troubleshooting connectivity with controllers, gateways, and data interfaces.

Knowledge of scripting or automation tools related to AVEVA PI Historian.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model with distributed teams.
