Job description
Configure and maintain mainframe security policies in a Top Secret and RACF environment.

Access control: Create, update, and manage user IDs, passwords, and access rules to ensure users only have access to necessary data and resources., Respond to security incidents and perform forensic analysis to understand and mitigate threats.

Policy enforcement: Ensure the mainframe environment complies with internal security policies and external regulations.

Collaboration: Work with application developers, other IT teams, and compliance officers to support application onboarding, resolve security issues, and implement security requirements.

Automation: Develop and use scripts (like REXX) to automate security tasks and improve efficiency.
Requirements
Our team is made up of engineers with varying levels of professional experience and backgrounds, from new graduates to 20-year veterans of the healthcare, financial and SAAS industry. We are looking for creative engineers and technologists: relevant industry experience is important, but less so than your demonstrated abilities, passion and attitude. We're always improving and looking for individuals that enjoy being challenged and have a strong desire to make the engineering experience better for our users., + Proficiency with mainframe security software (RACF or Top Secret).
- Strong knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and other mainframe tools.
- Experience with security auditing, vulnerability assessments, and threat analysis.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like REXX for automation.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills:
- Strong ability to analyze security risks and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Ability to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
- Communication and collaboration skills:
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively with other teams and influence others.
- Knowledge:
- Understanding of compliance standards and audit processes.
- Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
- Monitoring and auditing: Monitor system security, review security logs, and perform regular security audits to detect and report violations and vulnerabilities.
