Job description
The Director of IT will be the architect behind PAL's technology vision - leading strategy, infrastructure, and innovation to support our expanding operations. This role partners closely with senior leadership, ensuring our systems evolve in step with our company's growth, culture, and customer-first mission. You'll specialize in Managed Service Provider (MSP) management leads technical operations, client service delivery, and strategic growth. Key responsibilities include managing enforcing SLAs, managing vendor relationships (infrastructure, security), conducting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), managing vendor relationships, and maximizing service margins., * Develop and execute a technology roadmap that aligns with PAL's business goals and growth strategy. Manage and drive the implementation of new technology, including automation, AI, and security tools, to improve efficiency.
- Develop and execute technical strategies for client infrastructure (cloud, network, security). Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Oversee network, hardware, cloud systems, and software infrastructure across multiple locations.
- Service Delivery & Performance: Manage ticketing, escalation, and change management processes. Monitor team output, customer satisfaction, and survey results. Role is very hands on and will utilize "Management By Walking Around" daily.
- Manage vendor relationships, system upgrades, and technology contracts to ensure reliability and cost-efficiency.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols, disaster recovery plans, and data protection compliance.
- Collaborate with leaders across Operations, Finance, Marketing, HR, and Service to ensure seamless technology integration and performance.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and digital transformation.
- Develop and monitor KPIs for system uptime, service requests, and technology ROI.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on all IT initiatives, emerging tech trends, and strategic planning.
- Current role has no Direct Reports and will utilize and manage our vendors as part of the team.
- Financial & Resource Management: Oversee departmental finances, budgeting, and forecasting. Optimize profitability through effective service delivery.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vendor relationship building?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 5-10+ years in IT
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), networking, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, and SaaS integrations.
- Proven success leading initiatives through growth, system transitions, and digital innovation.
- Ability to translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (MBA or Master's preferred not required).
- Certifications (such as PMP, ITIL, CISM, CISSP, or related) preferred not required.
