Job description

We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist to support our surgical center's technology needs. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing communication tools, hardware, and IT infrastructure to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT systems, and supporting staff with technology-related concerns., * Maintain and troubleshoot communication tools (VoIP systems, messaging apps, teleconferencing software, etc.).

  • Support and manage IT hardware, including computers, printers, network equipment, and other medical-related technology.
  • Ensure the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure, including data backup and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Provide technical support to staff, resolving issues related to software, hardware, and network connectivity.
  • Assist with setting up and managing user accounts, access controls, and system permissions.
  • Monitor and update system software and hardware as needed.
  • Work with vendors and service providers for IT support and equipment maintenance.
  • Document IT procedures and provide training to staff on technology best practices.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Desktop computer repair?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred but not required).

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with communication tools such as VoIP, teleconferencing, and messaging applications.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware troubleshooting (computers, printers, networking devices, etc.).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection in healthcare environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with healthcare IT systems or EMR software.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and data security best practices.
  • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, etc.) are a plus.
