Job description

This position provides office and administrative support for staff and students within the Center for Student Success (CSS) and Center for Accessibility (CFA).

Examples of Duties

  • Coordinates services for the Center for Student Success reception area to support departmental and college goals.

  • Reviews departmental procedures and responsibilities with students and ensures compliance with college policies.

  • Provide support and guidance for students via the Self-Service portal.

  • Provides support to CFA students by processing and disseminating accommodation forms, assistive technology requests, and related services.

  • Assists in the process of financial aid appeals, academic appeals, early alerts, and progress reports.

  • Provides administrative support for the Dean of Students and the Assistant Director of the Center for Accessibility.

  • Prepares, updates, and maintains student files, records, and databases.

  • Utilizes the college data management system to maintain program and area data.

  • Assists with the preparation, monitoring, and maintenance of program reports and budgets.

  • Processes applications, requisitions, purchase orders, and other program documents.

  • Coordinates CSS and CFA program activities, events, professional development sessions, and conferences.

  • Collaborates with other college departments, personnel, and external agencies in event planning, data management, and program support.

  • Assists with onboarding of College Work Study students and part-time clerical staff.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree

Experience:

  • Two years of professional office experience

  • Experience working in higher education preferred

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications and Google Workspace

Competencies and Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity in working with students with disabilities and diverse student populations

  • Knowledge of Ellucian's Colleague management information system a plus
