Job description

The UX Designer is an integral part of bringing journeys and experiences to life on Carhartt.com. The ideal candidate is adept at working cross-functionally with stakeholders in UX, Creative, and Marketing to create mobile first designs. This role will participate in content strategy and will be responsible for creating mockups at all levels of fidelity for usable and seamless experiences. You will be responsible for conducting user research using a wide variety of methodologies, including moderated user tests, card sorting, focus groups, and competitive analysis. Your will work with stakeholders and leaders to brainstorm ideas for features and journeys that will serve our consumers. The final comps you produce will be pixel perfect and will be used by developers to code interfaces. This position also works closely with our Marketing and Creative teams to create final comps for marketing campaigns and will work on designing personalized experiences as well as helping to redesign problematic interface elements on the site.

Representative Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements for experiences.
  • Create mockups and prototypes at all levels of fidelity.
  • Consult with data specialists to define design needs.
  • Work with partners in Creative and Marketing to ensure designs are both usable and attractive.
  • Conduct original user research to test hypotheses.
  • Create deliverables on results to inform stakeholders and D2C leadership.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with SMEs and leaders in data, marketing, integrated media, creative, and merchandising to ensure the teams collectively deliver ONE premium customer experience across business initiatives and execution projects
  • Participate in and lead ideation sessions.
  • Act as end-user advocate and ensure balanced decisions are made.
  • Act as a project manager for UX design efforts.

Job Profile

  • Provide project estimates with reasonable accuracy then independently execute against projects within specified deadlines.
  • Actively participate in team SCRUM's and proactively identify risks and solutions

Requirements

Do you have experience in E-commerce website design?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree, * 3+ years of professional experience designing digital ecommerce experiences.

  • Deep understanding of UX design principles and user motivations.
  • Proven track-record of designing simple, yet effective experiences.
  • Passionate user advocate who can spot opportunities among the 'noise' of information and who can bring those opportunities to life on the site.
  • Ability to develop and drive execution of strategies, tactics, measurable implementation plans across channels.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, including a strong commitment to follow-up, follow-through, collaborate with cross-functional teams and a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to meet timelines and, when needed work under deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail and quality of your work.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Intellectual curiosity with the ability to adapt to change
  • Portfolio with representative professional, polished website design work and samples of website development projects.

  • This position has a Remote location: Associate will have no regular requirement to be on-site. Travel on-site is limited to special events.
