Job description

Digital Transformation Specialist About the job Digital Transformation Specialist (Zoetermeer - Fulltime) As a Digital Transformation Specialist, you lead and implement digital initiatives that improve operational performance in our Zoetermeer factory. You act as the connector between operations, engineering, IT/OT, and automation to ensure solutions are not only designed, but successfully adopted on the shopfloor. You will work on scaling Industry 4.0 solutions, strengthening data-driven decision-making, and embedding sustainable digital ways of working across the plant. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of digital projects that improve manufacturing performance
  • Translate business needs into practical digital solutions together with stakeholders and ensure successful deployment on the shopfloor
  • Implement and scale solutions in data analytics, connected shopfloor, and automation
  • Drive adoption by embedding solutions into daily operations and standard ways of working together with OT and automation teams

Requirements

  • A pragmatic and structured digital professional who thrives in complex and evolving environments
  • Comfortable working close to the shopfloor and collaborating with manufacturing teams
  • Strong in project management and execution, with a proven ability to deliver end-to-end implementations
  • Experienced in digital, engineering, or process improvement roles within a manufacturing context
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, able to align different teams and work effectively with external vendors and system integrators
  • Knowledgeable in data, analytics, and digital manufacturing solutions
  • Familiar with OT environments (such as PLC, SCADA, MES) and industrial data or system interfaces
  • Interested in or exposed to automation, robotics, and industrial systems
  • Able to structure initiatives and bring clarity in unstructured or complex environments
  • Hands-on, solution-driven, and accountable for delivering results
  • Curious and eager to learn new technologies
  • Exposure (or willingness to learn) in integration tools such as OPC, Kepware or similar
  • Understanding of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. IWS)
  • Exposure to Agile, Scrum or PMP methodologies is a plus
