Requirements
- Commercial experience in Quality Engineering or Test Automation within modern software engineering environments
- Strong automation testing experience using Playwright (preferred) or Selenium
- Hands-on coding ability with experience reading, reviewing and troubleshooting application code rather than relying solely on UI automation
- Experience building full-stack automation frameworks covering APIs, backend services and user interfaces
- Good understanding of unit testing principles and automated quality practices
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP, including an understanding of testing cloud-native applications
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery practices
- Experience using AI-powered engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude, with an interest in applying AI to software engineering and test automation
- Strong understanding of Shift-Left Testing and embedding quality throughout the SDLC
- Comfortable working closely with developers within Agile engineering teams
- Previous experience leading technical workstreams, mentoring engineers or acting as a Team Lead
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to operate in client-facing environments
- A proactive approach to learning through certifications, personal projects, technical communities or continuous self-development
- Eligibility to obtain SC Security Clearance, requiring five years of continuous UK address history
