Job description

  • Design, deploy and support Windows and Linux server platforms
  • Manage VMware, Hyper-V and virtualised infrastructure
  • Support enterprise storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Automate server provisioning, patching and configuration
  • Implement server hardening and security best practice
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise mission-critical environments
  • Work alongside cloud and security teams on hybrid infrastructure
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Strong experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure
  • Expertise in Windows Server, Linux and virtualisation
  • Knowledge of storage, backup and automation tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with security hardening and patch management
  • Defence experience and relevant certifications

We're looking for an experienced Senior Server Engineer to join our team and help design, build and support secure, high-performance server infrastructure in a highly secure environment. This is a hands-on technical role operating at SFIA Level 5, with opportunities to lead infrastructure projects, mentor engineers and work with enterprise technologies that make a real difference.
