Job description
- Install, configure, and maintain highly available Linux-based systems (Ubuntu/RHEL).
- Perform deep-level troubleshooting, kernel tuning, and performance optimization.
- Implement system hardening based on CIS benchmarks or STIGs.
- Manage IAM roles, security groups, and encryption (KMS) within AWS.
- Design and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Automate the build, test, and deployment phases for containerized and server-based applications.
- Manage AWS resources (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Integrate security scanning tools (SAST/DAST) and secret management (AWS Secrets Manager/Vault) directly into GitHub Actions workflows.
- Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure 24/7 uptime and rapid response to security threats.
- All other duties assigned.
Requirements
We are looking for a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our team. This role is designed for someone who has mastered the fundamentals of Linux administration and is now focused on scaling infrastructure through AWS and automating security within CI/CD pipelines. You will be a key player in ensuring our deployments are fast, repeatable, and inherently secure., * Advanced knowledge of Linux administration (Bash scripting, Cron, SSH, LVM, Package Management).
- Proficiency in AWS Core Services (Compute, Storage, Networking, and Security).
- Strong experience with GitHub Actions and Git version control (branching strategies, PR workflows).
- Experience with vulnerability scanning, patching automation, and SSL/TLS certificate management.
- Proficiency in at least one high-level language (Python, Go) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Working knowledge of Docker and container orchestration (EKS/ECS).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in a DevOps or Linux systems engineering role.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with OIDC (OpenID Connect) for secure authentication between GitHub Actions and AWS.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
- Experience with centralized logging solutions (ELK Stack, CloudWatch Logs Insights).
- Exposure to Kubernetes cluster administration and Helm chart management.
