Job description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced CAS Senior to join our Client Accounting Advisory (CAS) team. The CAS Senior will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services to a portfolio of clients, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, and advisory support. This role blends technical accounting expertise, client relationship management, and team leadership to help clients improve their financial operations and make informed business decisions., * Serve as primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients, delivering bookkeeping, month-end close, and financial reporting services

  • Prepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals to ensure accurate and timely financial statements
  • Perform analysis of financial results and provide actionable insights and recommendations to clients to improve cash flow, profitability and internal controls
  • Coordinate with tax teams and outside advisors to ensure client records are complete and tax-ready; support tax provision and year-end processes
  • Lead implementation and optimization of cloud accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite), including migrations, integrations, and workflow automation
  • Train, mentor, and review work of junior staff and bookkeepers, providing feedback to develop technical and client-facing skills
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and drive efficiency through standardization, checklists, and automation tools
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting principles and firm policies while applying best practices for CAS engagements
  • Prepare client-facing deliverables such as financial statements, management reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
  • Manage multiple client engagements, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality service and strong client relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree a plus
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred; Enrolled Agent (EA) designation or progress toward EA/CPA is a plus
  • 5+ years of professional accounting experience with a focus on client accounting services, bookkeeping, or public accounting
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite) and integrations; experience with automation tools and reporting platforms
  • Strong technical skills in GAAP, month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience preparing financial analyses and management reports
  • Proven client-facing skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff and managing multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings as needed
